Nothing Is Right or Wrong Everybody Has a Different Perspective

Nothing Is Right or Wrong Everybody Has a Different Perspective

William Shakespeare conveyed in one of his plays, the Hamlet, that “There is nothing good or bad, only thinking makes it so”. It is true that we label certain events as good as certain events as bad. It is because we have been taught from a young age to differentiate good from bad.

These terms are subjective in nature. What is considered good for one person can be bad for another. Our interpretations of events are based on our cultural backgrounds and upbringing, which shape our thinking.
For example, in India, killing a cow and eating beef are considered bad because Indians worship cows. However, outside India, eating beef and killing cows is common and not considered bad.
Beef is a form of diet, and is a delicacy. So, why is it that Indians consider the killing of cows wrong whereas people abroad just view cows as food? This is because from young, Indians have been socialized into thinking that a cow represents the symbol of Dharma. This is not so for other races and religions.

Embracing and learning

Nothing Is Right or Wrong Everybody Has a Different Perspective

People who are liberal in their approach, constantly learning new things and improve their skills with the passage of time are always ahead of those people who think that after graduation there is no need to learn new things and they already know all the answers. This trend highly prevails in Pakistan where we face these kinds of situations on a daily bases. This is because very few people in our society embrace the concept of learning and all this has to do with our behavior, not education. As we live in a society where highly educated people are seen as behaving ill towards other people or with their own families. Because till now, we don’t understand that the world is changing and older concepts are fading away these days or it is the only way to lead.

Different perspective is good!

Nothing Is Right or Wrong Everybody Has a Different Perspective

Being different in a world that is full of believing and practicing traditional values faces a lot of criticism and misunderstood by people as he/she doesn’t follow societal norms. Such as choosing a different field for study which is not very common like cinematography, learn from various short courses, etc. Most people think especially our parents said that our children don’t get jobs or didn’t earn enough money. Our society didn’t realize that nowadays nothing is right, nothing is wrong, it’s all about a different perspective. Our youngsters earn a lot of money by doing online jobs, uploading different informational videos on YouTube, etc. It’s just that everybody has a different perspective there is no right and wrong way to do things.

As Einstein said:

“Everybody is a genius but if you judge the fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”

 Mindset

It is said that it’s the mindset that separates the successful people from unsuccessful, how we think what is our perspective towards life shapes our future. If we brought up in a family where people have a positive attitude towards life, children of that family have a positive attitude in every situation. But if a child is brought up in a negative environment where he/she sees domestic violence or their voice has been suppressed by their elders their perspective towards life is negative and every situation they face, they find out the negativity rather than learn from it and become a better person. Though, exceptions are always there sometimes it may be another way around.

Conclusion

I conclude by saying that something which is right in one situation may be wrong in other situations it’s just about the circumstances we are in but it doesn’t mean that we get the license to do wrong things. Still, there are some actions that are wrong and it stays wrong no matter what justification or explanation we give. My idea here is to be different and to do things differently, no matter what your family or society says but deep down they know it takes a lot of courage to take steps. Later they admire those people when they see them succeeding in life who criticized a lot at one point.
