Robyn Griggs, a well-known actress from One Life to Live and Another World, passed away at the age of 49.
On Saturday, August 13, the actress’ Facebook page posted news of her passing. Someone close to the actress posted a message on her page saying, “With a heavy heart, I am devastated to report Robyn’s death.” She would want us to keep in mind that she is no longer in pain and the pleasant recollections.
On the same page, Robyn—who had recently gone by the name Robyn Griggs Wiley—discussed her battle with cervical cancer, which eventually claimed her life. “I will never forget how willing she was to share her tale and how welcoming she was of my assisting her in doing so. In order to do so, she wanted to share her tale and provide assistance to others, according to the release. “I felt privileged to do so. My buddy, rest in peace. I love you and miss you very much.
Griggs, a 1973 baby, started out in children’s theatre before making an appearance on the defunct Nickelodeon sitcom Rated K. In the end, Griggs went on to star in two popular soap operas, playing Maggie Cory in numerous episodes of Another World and Stephanie Hobart in several One Life to Live episodes.
Her tenures on both programmes were from 1991 through 1995, making them Griggs’ last significant television performances. Griggs appeared in a number of movies and videos between the 2000s and the early 2010s, including Minds of Terror and Hellweek.
Early in July, Griggs gave her followers an update and disclosed that her disease had progressed to four additional tumours. She eventually began receiving hospice care on August 11, only a few days before passing away on August 13.
