Jennette McCurdy, star of many popular Nickelodeon series like iCarly, has written an honest account
of her time spent on set with Ariana Grande in her new memoir, I'm Glad My Mom Died.
She co-starred with the Grammy winner in the 2013–2014 Nickelodeon spin-off series Sam & Cat,
which the actress, singer, and novelist also wrote about her mother, the effects of working in Hollywood,
and her childhood as an actor. In particular, she discussed her belief that Ariana Grande was treated unfairly by the Sam & Cat creators.
According to Entertainment Weekly, one of the cast members of the hit show iCarly had to reject down film roles
because the show's producers wouldn't let them skip her from upcoming episodes. McCurdy also shared
her reaction to learning that Ari had been given a week off from shooting in order to attend an award presentation.
