Chanel Ayan, a star of "Real Housewives of Dubai," claims she overcame female genital mutilation at age 5.

 disclosed details of her childhood trauma during an emotional hypnotherapy session.

The Ethiopian and Somali model, who was born in Kenya, later admitted to the therapist that both 

she and her older sister had undergone circumcision as young children despite surviving female genital mutilation.

Ayan remembered through sobs, "When I was five years old, my aunt and my grandma came to pick us up to relocate

 "And then they took us to this man's house and they simply tied us on the bed

we were circumcised the next morning at 6 a.m. I had no idea where I was going at all."
