Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are hosting a three-day wedding party for friends and family at Affleck’s private estate in Georgia to celebrate their marriage. The happy couple sealed the wedding a little over a month ago in Las Vegas, Nevada, at a midnight ceremony on the renowned strip. Two of their children from prior marriages were in attendance.
A source informed Page Six, “it will be all about J.Lo.” Ben wants her to be the centre of attention on their wedding day.
Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel, Ben Affleck’s brother Casey Affleck, and Drea de Matteo are among the celebrities who are anticipated to go south for the weekend.
The three-building estate is located about one hour outside of Savannah on the private Hampton Island Preserve.
In 2003, when he was first engaged to Lopez, Affleck allegedly paid $7 million for the home.
According to sources, the “intimate celebration for family and friends” starts on Friday with a rehearsal dinner, followed by the wedding on Saturday.
A BBQ and picnic will conclude the three-day weekend of festivities, with the magazine adding that Colin Cowie will be in charge of event organising.
Ben and Jen were engaged in 2002 and planned to marry in September 2003; however, they postponed their wedding and ended their engagement by January 2004.
They resumed their relationship in April 2021, after she ended her engagement to Alex Rodriguez and he ended his relationship with Ana de Armas. Earlier this year, she announced their engagement and said he proposed while she was in the bathtub.
In an email to subscribers, Lopez confirmed her marriage to Affleck and disclosed they exchanged vows at The Little White Wedding Chapel at 12:01 a.m. on July 17.
According to court papers, the 53-year-old “Hustlers” actress sought a “new name” on the petition, which was received for the first time on Saturday, July 16, and filed with the Clark County Clerk’s Office the following day. She will now be officially known as Jennifer Affleck.
The “Marry Me” actress once went under a different name while she was married to the musician Marc Anthony. Nearly six months after their 2014 divorce was completed and three years after their separation, Lopez discarded the Muniz surname.
